Derek L. Lane
Executive Director

Derek has worked with community and faith-based organizations for over 25 years. He has served as a senior pastor for 17 years and managed a non-profit, consulting agency. He was the founder and director of the Mid-South Community Development Corporation, a community housing development organization in Jackson, MS and conducted research and grant-writing with Carter and Associates Resource Development, Inc. He also served as a chaplain for the state of Mississippi at one of its psychiatric hospitals and was active with the Mississippi Chaplains Association.

Derek is a graduate of PRO-MS, a leadership development program of MS State University and has done graduate work in Public Policy and Administration. He is also certified by the National Association of Home Builders in Business Management for Building Professionals and has written over $20 million in successfully-funded proposals for community and faith-based ministries.

He is married to Mae Aldridge-Lane and they have four children. He is a sought-after speaker, enjoys teaching and writing, and is passionate about helping community and faith-based organizations make an impact in their communities.
